Shooter Jennings

Shooter Jennings must have gotten all the black-helicopter paranoia of 2010's Steven King-narrated, hard-rock-heavy LP Black Ribbons out of his system. His latest album, Family Man, sticks to flying the flag of his outlaw lineage and Southern-rock heroes, and it suits him just fine. Jennings will be right where he belongs Saturday, on the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival's Bud Light Stage between Red Dirt rockers Cody Canada & the Departed and deep-voiced Southeast Texas honky-tonk stalwart Davin James & the Bullnettle Band. Other entertainers over the weekend include doe-eyed Old 97's front man Rhett Miller, Houston alt-country up-and-comers Folk Family Revival and the Literary Greats, and a peck of zydeco groups.
