The Melvins have never sounded as brutish and beastly as they do now. Since Dale Crover and Buzz Osborne added Big Business boys Coady Willis and Jared Warren to the fold, they've upped Melvins' drum-kit count to two and opened up a new door for the long-running Pacific Northwest sludge pioneers. The band's new album, The Bride Screamed Murder, just released last week, is the present lineup's third since 2006's A (Senile) Animal and the strongest so far. Its nine tracks ooze with destruction, powered by both the double-barreled drum blasts and screams of Osborne and Warren.
