Today local indie-rockers The Tontons finally released their clip for "Golden" onto the world, with the clip written and directed by Tom Adams and the band's own Tom Nguyen at War'Hous off Main.
In addition to premiering the video, they also announced new tour dates into early November, including appearances at Pop Montreal, Next Big Nashville's Soundland, CMJ Music Marathon and the Houston Wine Festival.
The new video's focal point is obviously lead singer Asli Omar, but the action behind her will tickle you too.
A few weeks back MTV's Buzzworthy site showcased the Tontons and "Golden." The MTV blog gushed about the cut saying "the rhythmic, guitar-driven track sounds like a younger, college-aged Metric, and much like Emily Haines (Metric's lead singer), Omar carries an empowering, emotional lead vocal."
Pretty cool stuff indeed for the long-running Houston act. Here are the band's upcoming dates.
