Twerk Alert: Miley Coming to Toyota Center March 16

We knew it was coming -- she announced it on SNL two weeks ago -- but now Houston knows when it will collide with the "Wrecking Ball."

This morning Live Nation announced that Miley Cyrus, controversial pop star and daughter of mullet royalty, will bring her Bangerz tour to Toyota Center on March 16. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday, November 16 through livenation.com.

Since she stuck out her tongue and ground on Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs in late August, Cyrus' ability to rile up the media has been unmatched by any pop singer in recent memory. But instead of wilting, she has come through it quite well, showing a quick sense of humor and determination not to take herself too seriously.

No doubt she has Lady Gaga (who has a new album out next week, y'know) wondering where all her headlines have gone. Cyrus is not winning any cool points for allegedly making out with Good Charlotte's Benji Madden recently, though.

She's also sold a lot of records: According to Billboard, new album Bangerz' first-week sales of 270,000 set a new high-water mark for female artists, and is the second-highest total for a pop album this year. After a month in stores, it's still No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

The real question we will be facing in March: are we over Miley yet? Or is she legit? Hey, maybe she can come back as a FPSF 2015 headliner.
