Caleb Followill in Houston this past April.
The tweets started coming fast and furious out of Dallas' Gexa Energy Pavilion last night after Kings Of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill walked off stage, after apologizing for his voice being shot, joshing the meatheads in the crowd, being overcome by the heat of the venue and the city, and drifting off into a rambling, wistful monologue, repeating "you guys are so fucking awesome!" repeatedly.

Here's Darryl Smyers' review of the show from our sister blog DC9 At Night. Sounds very trainwreck-y.
The rest of the band appeared minutes later to call off the show, to the anger of Dallas fans and the rest of the Internet who already hated Kings of Leon or had never heard of them. The rest of the Followills appeared, with Jared Followill saying, "Burn our records, I don't know what to say, it's Caleb. Fucking hate Caleb, not us..." in a very apologetic tone. Later Jared posted the following message on Twitter:
The line "There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed," sounds awfully like that this was something within the band that came to a head last night. We do know that the band parties a lot on and off tour, but this is the first incident we have heard of anyone actually abandoning the stage. On top of that, if you think it's hot in Dallas...
What this means for tonight's Houston stop at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with the Band of Horses remains to be seen, but since last night Rocks Off has been digging around online and through our Live Nation and band contacts to find out.
According to a press release from Live Nation, the show has been postponed because "Caleb Followill suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration, causing his vocal chords to seize." Tickets for tonight's show will be honored at the September date, and refunds are available at point of purchase.
