Aside from getting to see what all the high-school kids are listening to, our favorite thing about the Vans Warped Tour is watching said kids try to rock hoodies, all-black clothing and fancy punk-rock hairdos on the hellish plot of land next to Sam Houston Race Park in the deadly heat of the season. This is the seventeenth run through the States for promoter Kevin Lyman's "punk-rock summer camp," and it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that a child born during the summer of the inaugural festival could very well be headlining the tour soon. If that doesn't make you feel old, aged Houston punkers, just get a look at the lineup, which this year includes some names you may remember from Warped jaunts of yesteryear. The Aggrolites, Less Than Jake, Unwritten Law and Bowling For Soup are just some of the older names coming back alongside newer ones you should get to know if you aren't hip to them yet, such as Lucero, Foxy Shazam and Street Dogs.
