You have to give it up to Vince Neil, and not just in that way. When the man isn't fronting Mötley Crüe on the random hits tour, like the one that hit Houston back in June, he makes sure to sate fans who don't want to pay Tommy-Nikki-Mick arena prices, on solo jaunts at smaller venues around the country. Friday Neil hits the House of Blues for a night of his Crüe smashes, a few solo career cuts and some choice covers. At recent dates he has been performing takes on classic Sabbath, Cheap Trick and Zeppelin staples like "Heaven and Hell" and "Stairway to Heaven" which makes us curious to hear how his trademark cat-like snarl sounds taking on Dio-era Sabbath. If you wanna get the grittier side of his time with the Crüe back in the '80s, not included in the band's memoir The Dirt, check out his own autobiography, Tattoos & Tequila: To Hell and Back with One of Rock's Most Notorious Frontmen, released last year.
