Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Austin's annual SXSW Music Conference transforms Houston's friendly-rival city into the center of the music universe every March. From the hot-ticket showcases featuring established touring acts to the small club shows, exclusive keynote interviews and late-night afterparties, the beauty of SXSW music week stems from the unpredictable nature of the seemingly infinite number of entertainment options.

Follow along as photographer Marco Torres navigates his way across Austin, one showcase, party and taco at a time.
