Chuck Norris Officially A Texas Ranger, Finally
We have to admit, the above Keyboard Cat clip contains the only footage ofWalker, Texas Ranger
we have ever seen.
But the great and august government of Texas must have seen more, for today they officially voted to make Chuck Norris an honorary Texas Ranger.
"The Walker, Texas Ranger television series ran from 1993 to 2001 and reflected well on law enforcement in general and on the Department of Public Safety in particular," said Steve McCraw, director of the DPS.
Endorsements don't get much more ringing that that. We're sure he would have commented on the nuanced acting of Norris, or the directorial chops of his brother Aaron, who also received the honor, if he only had time.
The Walkers join John Wayne and George H.W. Bush as honorary Ranger captains, DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange says.
Our sister blog Unfair Park -- in Dallas, where Walker was set -- has more info.
