Comment of the Day: A Better HFD Patch for Magnolia Park
We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We looked at the surprisingly cool individual station patches in the Houston Fire Department -- lots of skulls, and even some singed balls -- and noted how the patch for the Hispanic neighborhood of Magnolia Park featured jalapeños and Speedy Gonzales.
One reader offered an improved version.
The patches are great; the captions are priceless!
But instead of Speedy Gonzalez for Station 20, how 'bout a bottle of Pepto? The jalapenos start the fire and the Pepto... well, you know.
