Comment of the Day: Easy Rawlins on Beautiful Churches
We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We listed the eight most beautiful churches in Houston.

One ready got all detective-fiction on us, in a good way.
Antioch Baptist reminds me of a line in one of Walter Mosley's books where Easy Rawlins says, and I paraphrase, "From Iberia Parish to Houston's Fifth Ward to LA's South Central, black people, will scratch money from dirt to build churches and bury family." I've driven by this church thousands of times and never knew it's history. Now I know it's an expression of the love and devotion Mr. Mosley wrote of.
