Cowboy Diaries 2013: Seth Childers, Rodeoing and Daddying
True cowboys are hard to find, but not at the Houston Rodeo. Life on the road leads them here this time every year for the biggest rodeo in the world, where they'll ride and wrangle livestock for cash and glory. Each day, Hair Balls will spotlight one person with enough dirt on his boots to call himself a cowboy -- and mean it.
Name: Seth Childers Age: 29 Hometown: Cameron, Texas Event: Tie-Down Roping
I've been to Rodeo Houston about six or seven times. I've done all right. I haven't really won a whole lot here.
I started rodeoing when I was 12 or 13. Going to youth rodeos and stuff like that.
My favorite part about rodeoing is you get to travel all over the place. Houston and Cheyenne are my two favorite rodeos.
When I'm not rodeoing, I like to hunt and fish. I just had a little boy, so that takes up a lot of time.
If I wasn't rodeoing, I don't know. I've never really thought about that a whole lot.
