David Thompson: Celebration Of His Life Set For Sunday
Houston's murder-mystery lovers are still dealing with the shock of the sudden death of Murder by the Book's David Thompson, a guy who apparently had unerring skills in leading readers to their newest favorite author.
A celebration of his life is set for this Sunday at the Briar Club.
"David loved a good party, and we will honor him by celebrating the life of an extraordinary young man who touched the lives of many in his 21 years at the bookstore," MBTB said in its announcement.
The event (everyone's invited, no RSVP necessary) is set for 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Briar Club, which is at 2603 Timmons Lane.

Thompson, 38, died suddenly earlier this week. Autopsy reports are pending, but no foul play is suspected.
MBTB says they've been asked often about donations honoring Thompson and have set up a way to do it, although they have not yet decided where donations will go:
Many have asked about tributes to David's memory. Alafair Burke has set up a fund for those who would like to make a donation in David's name. The charity will be determined later.
For those wishing to contribute, here are the details:
