Amid allegations that the recently released Sandra Bland dash cam video was edited, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in an email that the video's irregularities were not due to editing but rather technical issues.

Last night, shortly after the dash cam video was released by DPS, an independent journalist uncovered what appeared to be edited footage toward the end of the video— a few seconds seemed to be looped, evidenced by cars and people disappearing and reappearing. The portion of the video showing the confrontation between Bland and her arresting officer was unaffected.
Here's what DPS sent us:
Yesterday’s video was not edited. The entire video was uploaded Tuesday to include the audio and video of the conversation the trooper had by telephone with his sergeant, which occurred after the arrest. Some of the video was affected in the upload. That technical issue has now been resolved.
