Esvin Sabonluis, Killed Near Richmond Strip: Man Arrested, Charged
Last month we told you about a man killed as he walked to his car with his wife near the Richmond Strip, an area not generally known for outright murder.
Esvin Sabonluis, 27, was killed about 9:10 p.m. October 23 in the 6200 block of Fairdale, near Fountain View and Richmond.
Houston police say they have captured and charged one of the two men wanted in the death.
Javon Bernard Bryant-Metoyer, 19, was arrested without incident after a Crime Stoppers tip, HPD says, and has been charged with capital murder.
"The search continues for the second suspect, described only as a black male in his early to mid 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with dark skin and a thin build," HPD says.
Anyone with information in this case, or on the whereabouts of the second suspect, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
