The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for help in identifying the latest geniuses to rob a bank. It happened at noon today at the Compass Bank at 7040 Lawndale. One man robbed the bank while the other drove the getaway truck.
They fled in "an older model, 2-door, black extended cab pick-up truck" without tinted windows, according to the FBI's press release. Fortunately, the criminal mastermind who entered the bank made sure the bank's security camera got some good glamour shots.
"The first subject is described as a Hispanic male, 28-30 years old, approximately 5'9"- 5'10", 190-200 pounds, with an average build and a light brown complexion. He had black hair, a black goatee and a mustache. He wore a black, white and green jacket with a logo on the left front side, jeans, and a black or blue cap with a log on the front. The second subject is described as a Hispanic male who was about 30-35 years old. He was clean shaven and had a heavier build than the first subject. The second subject was seen driving the older model, 2-door, black extended cab pick-up truck."
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of these robbers. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
