Homeless Man, Aged 60 To 65, Bayou Body Count No. 152
The body of a man believed to have been homeless was found dead near White Oak Bayou on the far west side of town Monday morning, police say.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending verification, but he is thought to have been between the ages of 60 and 65. He suffered blunt trauma injury to the head and homicide detectives are handling the case, but no determination of foul play has been made.
A passer-by found the body in the 3200 block of Katy Freeway about 10:25 a.m. Monday "along a concrete section of White Oak Bayou," HPD says. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be done to determine cause of death.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
