John Chime, 41, Bayou Body Count No. 282
Murder charges have been filed in the case of a dead body found in a truck in a southwest side convenience store parking lot, police say.
John Chime, 41, might have been dead for almost a week before his body was discovered Sunday afternoon by a customer, HPD says. They say Percy Hines III, 46, an acquaintance of Chime's, killed him in another location and then drove to a convenience store in the 3400 block of West Orem, where he abandoned the pick-up truck.
He was arrested December 2. Chime had suffered several gunshot wounds.
