Jose Alberto Hernandez: Points Rifle At Cop, Flees
Jose Hernandez made a night out of pointing his rifle
Police are looking for Jose Alberto Hernandez, who had himself a time about 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
First, police say, he had exchanged gunfire with bouncers at Sophia's Club in the 1300 block of Sheffield Boulevard, because what else is there to do at 6:30 Saturday morning?
Then, as police interviewed the bouncers, Hernandez, 23, returned to the scene. Until he saw the cops, that is, and took off.
HPD officer G.T. Clark took off after him in his car until Hernandez lost control of his vehicle in the 1600 block of Dunaway. Then, because he apparently thought he had not gotten in enough trouble yet, he pulled out a rifle and pointed it at Clark.
Clark fired his pistol and missed, and Hernandez took off on foot. He's still on the run.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
