Joseph Leroy Davis, 69, Bayou Body Count No. 204
You live to be 69, you're probably thinking you're not going to die by a vicious stabbing.
But Joesph Leroy Davis, 69, went out that way in what looks to have been a burglary on the north side early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the scene after witnesses described "a short black female carrying a duffel bag" leaving Davis' home in the 8600 block of Sunmore Court about 2 a.m. About an hour and a half later, after getting no response from inside the house police discovered the victim dead from multiple stab wounds.
"Relatives stated several pieces of jewelry were missing from Davis' residence," police said.
