An altercation near the downtown Abilene Rodeway Inn ice machine has landed a 65-year-old woman in jail and a 12-year-old girl in a (temporary) world of hurt.
According to Big Country Homepage, Linda Hall Jones and the tween were standing at the ice machine when the youngster laughed at the oldster. Jones then went to her motel room, grabbed her pepper spray and allegedly sprayed it in the girl's face. Oh well, at least she had plenty of ice on hand.
Jones was charged with assault causing bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor.
Bond for Linda Hall Jones was set at $3,500. As for the girl, who learned not to mock her elders, the lesson was priceless.
And you better not laugh at this story because Jones just might pack her pepper spray in her old kit bag and beeline straight for your front door.
