Loreal Bronte Castro: Arrest Made In Teen's Drive-By Death
Loreal Bronte Castro, 17, was just sitting in a pick-up truck after a Halloween party on the southeast side of town October 30.
Suddenly a car came down the street, shots were fired randomly, and Castro was mortally wounded.
Houston police made an arrest in the case today. Carlos Jesus Marquez, at 18 a fellow teenager, has been charged with murder.
Police say he was arrested without incident.
The driver of the pick-up, 18-year-old Simon Romero of Pearland, was sitting with Castro in the vehicle and was injured but has been released from the hospital.
HPD indicated no motive for the shooting, which sprayed bullets into several cars.
