NBA's Marcus Camby Arrested for Weed in Pearland
Many NBA watchers wonder how the hell Marcus Camby can keep playing at the ancient age of 37.
We may have our answer. And as with so many things, it's weed.
Camby was arrested earlier this week in Pearland for marijuana possession, reports the Pearland Journal.
How did it happen? Again, the answer seems to be weed:
Police officials say officers pulled over Camby's black Porsche around midnight on when he was spotted driving north on Cullen Boulevard with a sun screen device blocking the front window.
Driving with a sunscreen over the front window? Must have been high.
The cops say they smelled pot, and Camby gave permission to search the car. They "discovered what appeared to be several marijuana cigarettes and a baggie with a small amount of the same substance hidden under the front seat. Both suspects denied ownership of the marijuana," the Journal says.
Further bad news for the Portland Trail Blazer and one-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year: He was in a school zone at the time.
