Osasuyi Victor Uhunmwangho, 27, Bayou Body Count No. 141
A Katy man was shot to death on a sidewalk on the far west side of town shortly before midnight Tuesday, Houston police say.
Osasuyi Victor Uhunmwangho, 27, was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital after the 11:45 p.m. shooting in the 100 block of West Parkwest, at the Parkwest Townhomes complex.
HPD says "tenants...heard gunshots coming from the street outside their homes. One of the tenants looked out the window and saw a black male crouched down and walking quickly away from another male (Uhunmwangho) lying in the street."
That suspect is described only as "a black male about 6 feet tall, weighing 200 to 250 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue or black denim pants. It is believed he fled in a gray or silver Dodge Charger."
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
