Police Station Parking Lot, 11 a.m.: Man Caught Smoking Weed While Waiting for a Friend
A good place to flare up.
You're in the tiny parking lot outside the South Houston jail and police station, waiting for a friend who's visiting an inmate.
It's 11 a.m., you're halfway through your 40-ounce, so naturally it hits you: Great place to light up a joint!!
Amazingly, this well-thought-out plan ended up badly for one dude when a cop walking nearby -- and really, what are the chances? -- "approached the male and immediately smelled burnt marijuana and the strong smell of alcohol coming from his person."
YourHoustonNews.com reports the weed-smoker was standing by a Cadillac, and casually tried to toss the joint away as the officer neared.
That, too, failed.
The officer noticed a half-full 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor in the Caddy. Breakfast of champions!
The unnamed suspect was arrested and faces possession charges.
