Severe Storms, Hail Moving Through the Area
So, you wanted some rain, eh? Well, here you go. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Harris and Montgomery counties. Strong storms that include heavy rain, damaging winds and even hail are moving through the area from the north ahead of an expected cold front that will move through sometime tomorrow.
Houston is in the midst of the worst drought in the history of the city and has a chance at setting the record for the least amount of rainfall recorded in a single year. This will not help us best that record, but we're guessing no one much cares.
Unfortunately, the rough weather has decided to make its way through town during rush hour. We're certain that won't slow things down at all.
