The Five Sexiest Old Actresses Who Died In 2010
As in every year, people died in 2010. Famous people. Sexy people. Or people who were, at one time, both famous and sexy.
While they may have been elderly by the time they went to join the Great Majority, it is as they were in their prime that they should be remembered.
Keeping that in mind, here are the five sexiest to abandon this mortal coil in 2010.
5. Rue McClanahan We were never big fans of the Golden Girls, where McClanahan supposedly played a sexpot. We'd like to say that back in the day she really was one, but -- unlike the other people on this list -- it's a bit of a stretch.
But feel free to enjoy her doing a terribly awkward striptease, accompanied by commentary from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 crew ("Ew! It's my drunk aunt at a wedding."):

4. Jill Clayburgh Jill Clayburgh was the thinking-man's actress of the `70s, even as she appeared in some godawwfyl movies like Semi-Tough. Her "hit" movies tended to be a little preachy and obvious, but she often rose above the material and always seemed to be in on the joke.
Here she is dancing in her panties.
3 Jean Simmons Another not-overly sultry actress, Simmons was a serious actress (nominated for an Oscar as Ophelia in Hamlet). She also was a weed supporter, if that's your thing, campaigning against harsher laws for marijuana in Britain.
With Marlon Brando in Guys and Dolls:
2. Patricia Neal Talk about a survivor: her infant son suffered a serious injury after being hit by a cab; a few years later her seven-year-old daughter died, a few years after that Neal suffered a stroke that left her partly paralyzed. She came back from it all.
Here she is with Gary Cooper in The Fountainhead. The two had an affair during filming.
1. Lena Horne A classic beauty who only got better-looking as she got older, Horne started at the Cotton Club, got blacklisted n Hollywood, joined civil-rights marches in the `60s and retired gracefully.
