Torina Ann Gutierrez: Busted After First-Grade Daughter Eats Angel Dust Sandwich at School
Torina Ann Gutierrez sends her love to the world a year before sending her daughter to school with angel dust.
When the mother, 34-year-old Torina Ann Gutierrez, was called, she gave a response that seemed suspicious. She stressed that she did not want either the paramedics or Child Protective Services notified of her daughter's strange behavior.
Evidently Gutierrez relented once she got her daughter home. She called paramedics, and they took her daughter to an Austin-area hospital where a blood sample was taken. That sample later came back positive for PCP, and Gutierrez was arrested last Friday and charged with child endangerment, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in the pen.
Police say now that the drug had been mixed in with the sack lunch Gutierrez prepared for her daughter on the day she acted so strangely.
Small wonder the poor girl told investigators that her sandwich had tasted like "fireworks" that day and said that it made her "crazy and dizzy."
Gutierrez was subsequently tested for the drug and her result was also positive. Her daughter referred to the drug as "angel dust" and said she had seen it around the house before.
According to KVUE, mother of the year candidate Gutierrez has a long criminal record, including arrests for theft, assault, and prescription drug fraud.
This time around, along with the child endangerment rap, she faces an additional charge of felony theft. She was booked in to the Travis County Jail, with bail set at $35,000.
The girl is expected to fully recover and is now in the custody of a family member.
