Unidentifed Male, 16, Playing with a Gun, Bayou Body Count No. 103
A parent's nightmare: Teens playing with guns, thinking they are unloaded.
An unidentified male, 16, died in a shooting about 4 p.m. Saturday while he and a friend, another minor, were playing with a shotgun they believed was not loaded, Houston police say.
It was, and the victim was shot and taken from the westside apartment in the 12600 block of Mews Circle to a hospital where he died, police say.
An investigation is continuing.
