William Gammon, Prominent Homeowners Association Attorney, Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges

William Gammon, a leading figure in the move to make highly annoying homeowners associations even more powerful and annoying, has entered a guilty plea to charges of possessing child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced today.

Gammon remains free on bond pending sentencing, which is set for August 22.

Gammon, 49, who has testified before the legislature on homeowners association issues, was arrested last June. Investigators found a copious amount of child porn videos on his computer.

At the time of his arrest, Gammon's Web page highlighted his HOA efforts:

He has authored master deed restrictions for numerous large residential and commercial developers and builders and has helped draft proposed legislation beneficial to community associations. Bill frequently testifies before legislative committees considering laws that would impact the rights of community associations in the State of Texas and has helped statewide coalitions of community association attorneys to oppose suggested legislation which would severely hamper a community association's ability to operate.

Bill has been representing community associations for over 15 years and has done extensive litigation and appellate work in the field. He has litigated a large number of association deed restriction enforcement cases including architectural, nuisance, corporate matters, construction, design defect, contract as well as defamation. He has helped to craft and clarify Texas law applicable to community associations by successfully prosecuting many significant cases.
