Enter a world of color and creativity on the streets of downtown for The Center for Hearing and Speech's fourth annual Houston Via Colori. Throughout the weekend, watch from creation to completion as 200 artists turn asphalt into large works of art, plus two stages of live music, food and activities for everyone. Local acts Buxton, Beetle, Wild Moccasins, Spain Colored Orange, Runaway Sun and many more will perform. Proceeds support CHS’ mission to teach deaf children to listen, speak and read. The Bay Area Bluegrass Association (BABA) invites Press readers to its Free Bluegrass concerts and jam sessions, the third Saturday of every month except December and May. This weekend's lineup is the Tayhoss Band, Tim May and Justified at the Johnny Arolfo Civic Center, 300 W. Walker in League City. Shows start at 7 p.m., but pickers are welcome to bring their instruments and come earlier to jam. Three jam rooms are available, including a slow jam for beginners.
