Burgers come au natural at this local mini-chain, meaning the goods use local, sustainable and high-quality natural ingredients, including Angus beef from Lone Star rancher 44 Farms and select cheeses from local star Houston Dairymaids. Just over one-third pound, the plump patties are cooked to a juice-dripping medium and topped with your choice of pickin’s. Laid-out options include the Truffle, smothered in truffle cheese, melted onions and dreamy truffle aioli; the Texan, with fried onion strings, hand-cut bacon, cheddar, house pickle and bourbon barbecue sauce; and an early-morning Breakfast Burger with bacon, American cheese and a yolky hen egg. Golden crisp and buttery Challah buns are an excellent bed for the burgers, but anyone looking to cut the carbs can order theirs “in the Buff,” i.e. in a lettuce “bun.” Add on properly done, sea-salted fries and freshly-spun shakes.
