Eat At Denny's and Help Support Shooting Victim's Family
You can honor the memory of Robert Greig Placette and help support his family by eating at Denny's today. All Houston Denny's locations (57 to be exact) are hosting the benefit night in remembrance of Placette, who was killed on August 26 while shielding children during an armed robbery at the restaurant located at 7300 Washington Avenue.
Each of the Denny's participating in the event, which runs from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., will donate 25 percent of all sales to the Robert Greig Placette Memorial Fund. You can also make a financial contribution to the memorial fund at any Wells Fargo branch location nationwide.
"The outpouring of support for Placette and his fearless actions has been overwhelming," says Judy Barreras, a local Denny's franchisee. "The effects of this heartbreaking event can be felt all across Texas -- even throughout the nation -- and we hope this benefit night will provide much-needed assistance to Placette's family."
Spread the word about the benefit dinners, which will be held at these Houston Denny's locations, and help support a local hero's survivors.
