Holiday Events This Week at Whole Foods Markets
Whole Foods Market's Houston and Sugar Land stores are gearing up for the holidays with two in-store events this week: One to get you drunk (a holiday wine tasting) and one to keep you shrunk (a holiday healthy tips event) .
On Wednesday, November 2, from 7-7:30 pm., all Houston and Sugar Land stores will be hosting a Houston Uncorked event, offering tastings of their Top 10 Holiday Wines from around the globe to pair with traditional holiday favorites. The list features wines all priced under $15, from a Benziger Sauvignon Blanc (under $13) to an Innovacion Malbec-Tempranillo (under $10).
I don't know about you, but free wine tasting + those awesome cheese samples they usually have out seems like a good enough reason to shop on a Wednesday night for me.
On Saturday, November 5, from 1-4pm, all Whole Foods Market Houston and Sugarland stores will be offering shoppers the chance to learn healthy tips and tricks to stay on track during the holiday season with their Quality Worth Sharing event. The event is part of the company's Health Starts Here program, aimed at promoting wellness through healthy eating education.
During the event, shoppers will be able sample healthier versions of traditional holiday favorites like the store's Especially Good Sweet Potatoes or Pumpkin Pecan Cookies. They can also pick up holiday fat-trimming techniques like creating dressings without oil or using herbs and spices for flavor instead of butter.
Samplings of the company's top 10 Holiday wines will also be featured at this event (and I may just be back for more of that cheese).
