Texas Crab Festival @ Gregory Park
Friday – Sunday, Friday noon to midnight; Saturday 10 a.m. to midnight; Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Texas Crab Festival is celebrating its 30th year. Bring the entire family to enjoy a Gulf-Coast-style Mother’s Day weekend, featuring exciting entertainment and even more exciting food. Mouthwatering local seafood is featured throughout the festival, with a variety of delicious crab dishes — from crab cakes and BBQ crab to the big Crab Gumbo Cookoff — taking center stage. There will also be a full lineup of music featuring Gulf-Coast favorites, a Kids’ Stage, a carnival midway, Crab Races, a Crab Arcade, a 5K Fun Run, and more. Tickets are available for pre-purchase and are good for admission to the festival either Friday, May 8 or Saturday, May 9. Sunday admission, May 10, is free. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult admission.
Beats + BBQ + Brews @ Lincoln Bar + Kitchen
Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
This brew, music, and Blood Bros. BBQ pop-up event – held on the second Saturday of every month – has moved to a new location, the newly opened Lincoln Kitchen + Bar (housed in the former Brixx). But don't worry, you'll still get the same delicious 'Q, from 44 Farms Brontosaurus Ribs (limited selection) and beef brisket to pork ribs, smoked boudin, and more.
Bayou Jamboree and Gumbo Showdown @ Market Square Park
Saturday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Join Saint Arnold Brewing Company and the Downtown District for this 2nd annual event at historic Market Square. Enjoy beer, gumbo, Cajun cuisine and lots of horn-blowing and Cajun two-stepping. Teams will be facing off for the best gumbo in H-town with public tastings from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with judging and awards immediately following. New this year will be neighborhood favorite Treebeards, with a pop-up booth at the park selling some of its Cajun specialties. Of course, there will also be plenty of Saint Arnold beer on tap, as well as delicious Greek food from Niko Niko's available all day. Come hungry and thirsty! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
8th Annual SUPERPALOOZA! @ The Corkscrew
Saturday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
1308 West 20th
The Corkscrew's SUPERPALOOZA will feature 100 of some of the best eclectic, esoteric family owned wineries that are out there, PLUS an enormous selection of Texas craft beers AND Texas' truly best, small batch whiskey's, vodkas, gins and other local hooch. Of course, there will be plenty of food and live music from local band Nick Greer & The G's, too. Everything is included in the $49 tickets, which are sure to sell out. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Autism Speaks.
