Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival @ Moody Gardens
Tap into all things craft beer at this weekend-long craft beer festival. Now in its sixth year, the three-day celebration showcases two signature events: the BrewHaHa Grand Tasting on Saturday and the BrewLicious Brews and Foods Pairing on Sunday, in addition to a ton of other fun, all starting with tonight’s Galveston Brew Bash at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets and see the entire lineup of events at brewmastersbeerfest.com.
Labor Day Weekend @ Saint Arnold Brewery
Friday, Saturday and Monday
Houston’s oldest and most badass craft brewery is hosting two LDW lunches. On Friday, Saint Arnold is offering spring greens and Weedwacker Fish & Chips; and on Monday, the brewery will serve a special All-American Lunch Buffet featuring chopped brisket, roasted chicken, Amber Ale bratwurst, sides and a dessert. Each lunch costs $18.48 plus tax ($20 total) and gets you lunch and beer until 2 p.m. After lunch, the normal public tour hours will resume. And on Saturday, of course, Saint Arnold's classic tour and tasting will be available. For $10, you get a souvenir glass and four tokens for beer. Lunch reservations can be made online and are expected to fill up quickly.
Kolache Saturday @ Revival Market
Saturday, 8 a.m.
Start your Labor Day Weekend off right with one of the best morning pick-me-ups in town. Revival’s signature housemade kolaches and klobasniky will be available in fig, goat cheese and honey; local pear and caramel; boudin; and smoked sausage and cheddar from 8 a.m. until they sell out (and trust us, they will).
Brews, Blues & BBQ @ Karbach Brewing Co.
Sunday, noon to 9 p.m.
You don’t need to pay cover to get into LDW’s chillest party, where you can sip on Karbach brews, listen to live blues bands and take down awesome grub from Buttz Food Truck and Stab It Food Truck. And to keep you cool, Shaved Ice Truck will also be there serving up frozen treats. No admission fee, just regular brew prices.
Labor Day Bravado BBQ @ Royal Oak Bar & Grill
Monday, 2 to 10 p.m.
The folks at Royal Oak are teaming up with the guys from Bravado Spice to bring you a smokin’ BBQ Feast this Labor Day. You can expect slow-smoked Texas-style brisket, garlic baby back ribs, country-style pork sausage, excellent fixings and a fiery barbecue sauce spiked with Bravado’s Crimson hot sauce.
