If you've ever wondered what happens when you mix 16 French pastry chefs, three days of competition and a few cameramen, then today is your lucky day. And tomorrow. And Sunday.
This weekend, the MFAH is screening Kings of Pastry, a documentary that follows three of the 16 pastry chefs as they vye for the crown at the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen of France) competition in the gastronomically blessed city of Lyon. The film illustrates the passion, pressure, risk, and emotional extremes common to the culinary industry in France, as well as the rest of the globe.
Screening today, Saturday and Sunday at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
