To that end, I have found that the 2005 Adlesheim Pinot Blanc is a perfect "opposites attract" match for the corndog. A decidedly sophisticated white, this Pinot Blanc has a subtle fruitiness that meshes well with the cornbread crust. And you really can't go wrong when pairing a gussied up hot dog on a stick with a medium-bodied white. So the next time the carnival rolls through town, stick a bottle of Adlesheim in your trench coat and sneak sips of it while relishing your meat on a stick.
