Three-Coasts Double IPA Battle @ D&T Drive Inn Friday, 6-8 p.m. 1307 Enid St.
In continuation of Houston Beer Week, D&T Drive Inn will host the "Three-Coasts Double IPA Battle" tonight from 6-8 p.m. Green Flash Brewery represents the West Coast with the Green Bullet, Brooklyn Brewery represents the East Coast with Blast! and Karbach Brewery represents the Third Coast, or Gulf Coast, with Rodeo Clown. Each beer will be served in a flight for $5 and each guest will vote for their favorite in a blind taste-test. Complementary glassware will also be available to guests who purchase a competing beer.
Haak Madeira Food Truck, Art and Music Festival @ Haak Vineyard & Winery Saturday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. 6310 Avenue T, Santa Fe
Head out to Haak Winery for the first annual Haak Madeira Food Truck, Art and Music Festival on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 3 through 12 (children under 3 get in free). Enjoy Cuban pork, hamburgers and fries from Speers Rolling Bistro; soul food from Hungry Lumberjack; and tamales, quesadillas and tacos from Tamalito's Cafe. Custom Confections will be at the winery serving cupcakes, cookies, brownies and even deep-fried moon pies. After munching on some tasty bites and treats from the food trucks, check out the various products sold by local artisans - and don't forget wine, because the Haak Tasting Room will be open to guests.

Grand Opening @ Fielding's Wood Grill Saturday, all day 1699 Research Forest Dr.
Even though Fielding's Wood Grill has already opened, this Saturday, The Woodlands-based restaurant will hold a Grand Opening celebration benefiting Montgomery County Food Bank. For every breakfast skillet or burger sold on Saturday, Fielding's will donate $1 to the food bank. Each customer is welcome to add a $5, $10, $25 or $100 donation to their order. Fielding's will also offer samples of craft beer and desserts; customers have the chance to wine a door prize or giveaway while they eat their brunch, lunch or dinner.
Paste Untapped Festival @ Discovery Green Saturday, 3 p.m. 1500 McKinney St.
More than 70 breweries and 200 beers, plus a lineup of local bands, including The Walkmen, Big Black Delta and Wild Moccasins, will be at Discovery Green on Saturday for this year's Paste Untapped Festival. This indie music and beer festival features libations from Saint Arnold, Karbach, Southern Star, Dogfish, Real Ale and many more. A $25 general admission ticket gives you access to concerts from 4:15-10 p.m., but where's the fun in that? Purchase a beer and concert ticket for $34 and enjoy 12 two-ounce samplings of beer, receive an Untapped tasting cup AND enjoy the concerts. CyderFest 2013 @ Camerata at Paulie's Sunday, 4 p.m. 1834 Westheimer Rd.
No, that is not a typo. Cyder (spelled with a "Y") is a fermented drink made with bittersweet apples, and Camerata at Paulie's hosts CyderFest 2013 complete with a variety of cyders from five different countries. Some of the selections have been barrel-aged or flavored, some are dry, sweet or fortified, and some have been created using the Champagne method. For $35, you'll receive a tasting card for eight 3-ounce pours of cyder and Chef Felipe Riccio's pork rilletes with apple chips -- the perfect complement to cyders.
