Pub Night returns this Friday night at Saint Arnold, and they'll be tapping a keg of Siembra Azul Tequila Barrel Aged Divine Reserve 14; it's a Belgian strong golden ale and the first beer Saint Arnold has aged in tequila barrels. Pair this brew with the Bishop's Burger or a habanero chili cheese dog. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the tour hall will operate like a bar, so there's no entry fee; purchase beers by the glass or the bottle, and order food from the kitchen.

Ziggy Gruber, deli man at Kenny & Ziggy's, married Mimi McCaughey one year ago in Budapest, Hungary. In honor of their one year anniversary, Kenny & Ziggy's invites you to celebrate by feasting on a $75 per person five-course dinner featuring some of the dishes served at their wedding. Make reservations for 7 p.m. tonight to delight yourself in Goose Soup served with Hungarian ginger matzo balls; whole panko-crusted fried egg with apple chutney and chopped chicken livers; Zander (fish) from Lake Balaton topped with paprika cream dill sauce, served with roasted mushrooms and butter potato; filet mignon served Budapest style; and a slice of Hungarian Gundel pancake tower with chocolate rum sauce.

VegFest Houston 2014 Vegan Community Festival @ Pershing Middle School Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 3838 Blue Bonnet
The 4th Annual VegFest Houston takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Pershing Middle School. This free event features samples and cooking demos featuring vegan food from local favorites, such as Sinfull Bakery, Ripe Cuisine's Stephanie Hoban and Doshi House. Other activities include panel discussions of how to effectively plan meals and the meaning of "veganism."
Battle of Texas Beers @ Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen Saturday, noon to 3 p.m. 4526 Research Forest
Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen in The Woodlands will host the 2nd Annual Battle of Texas Beers on Saturday. This year's participating breweries include Saint Arnold, Karbach, No Label, Southern Star, and Buffalo Bayou representing Houston and its surrounding areas, as well as Goliad Brewing Company outside of San Antonio, plus (512) Brewing Company and Independence Brewing Co. from Austin. Samples will only be given to those 21 years and older at this free event; after everyone has sipped on the craft beer offerings, the public will decide which brewery walks away as the winner of the Battle of Texas Beers.
Annual Belgian Beer Tasting @ The Ginger Man Pub Saturday, 3 p.m. 5607 Morningside
Saturday is Belgium Independence Day, so what better way to celebrate than with some Belgian beers? Head to The Ginger Man Pub this Saturday for a Belgian beer tasting. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at the pub. For $40, you will receive eight samples of Belgian beers paired with some tasty bites to eat.
