Today Is the Last Day to Vote in the 2012 Best of Houston® Awards

The annual Best of Houston® awards are almost here, but one major housekeeping item needs to be addressed before the issue can hit the streets: your votes. Namely, we need to get them.

As you may know, the Best of Houston® award winners are split into two categories: our picks and the Readers' Choice winners. For the latter, we need you to cast your vote in categories from Best Gay Bar and Best Jukebox to standards like Best New Restaurant, Best Service and Best Wine List. We'll also need your choices of Best Barbecue and Best Banh Mi, Best Best Brunch and Best Burger -- among many other categories.

Voting for the awards ends today at 5 p.m., so bookmark the poll and come back to it when you have a good 10 to 15 minutes to make your choices. It may not be the big November election, but it matters to us and it matters to all the restaurants, bars and other service industry people who work hard every day to make Houston the culinary capital of Texas.
