I'm over here: It's easy to overlook the torta caprino e cipolle ($6) at Giacomo's Cibo e Vino (3215 Westheimer, 713-522-1934) as you make your way down the line of prepared foods. For one thing, there are so many dishes, it's impossible to see everything, and for another, the torta is almost at the end of the line. But it's worth finding. The tart is like an Italian quiche made with goat cheese and eggs in a flaky pastry. Caramelized onions line the base and the cheese mixture is baked on top. The sweetness of the onions combined with the slight tartness of the goat cheese makes for a memorable flavor.
