We've Narrowed Down the Most Underrated Kolaches...Vote Now!

OK, Houston. Let's get one thing straight. Christy's Donuts, The Original Kolache Shoppe and Shipley Do-Nuts (specifically the one on North Main) are NOT underrated places for kolaches. But, most of the other places y'all mentioned certainly are! We assumed most of the places would be doughnut shops, after all, local neighborhood establishments often have the best kolaches in town.

Along with a few bakeries, such as Three Brothers Bakery, the list of nominations for underrated kolaches was quite extensive, and honestly kind of all over the place. But, we certainly love the enthusiasm.

Now that we have received all of your suggestions for the most underrated kolaches in Houston, it's time to put it to a vote and find out the true winner. If your favorite made the list, then please tell us why you love the kolaches so much and don't forget to mention which flavors are the best.

Here's your latest poll of the most underrated kolaches in Houston.

As usual, you get one vote, and only one vote. Use it wisely.

The poll will close Friday afternoon, so be sure to vote before then.

And if you need to taste these kolaches before casting your vote, feel free to stop by one (or all) of these places on your way to work in the morning. No one can get mad at you for being late if you come bearing kolaches -- you might want to throw in a few doughnuts, too, if you can.

Thanks for voting, and check back next week for the results.
