Where Are We Drinking?
The giant, fertilized duck egg in the foreground should be the giveaway for this week's shot. The balut, resting on a pile of chile and salt, was served along with a slammer of beer in case the taste of the fertilized duck embryo inside proved too strong. I didn't need the beer -- I found the taste of the yolky, livery balut oddly enjoyable -- but I drank it anyway.
