Christmas will be here before you know it. We're sure you're busy with all of the holiday mayhem, so why not knock one thing all off of your to-do list by letting these Houston restaurants take care of Christmas dinner for you? From elegant multi-course feasts to buffets the kids will love, here's where to dine on Christmas Eve and Day in Houston:

ON CHRISTMAS EVE:

Artisans Restaurant

Share a special Christmas Eve surrounded by friends, family, and a decadent multi-course meal from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For $80 per person, start with a vichyssoise amuse bouche, then indulge in dishes like foie gras and duck confit, sweetbread in puff pastry, l’orange stuffed quail, and a chocolate Christmas yule log.

B&B Butchers & Restaurant

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner with their regular menu on Christmas Eve. The Butcher Shop is also offering a festive Christmas take-out menu, available all month with a 48-hour notice.

Backstreet Cafe

Enjoy a three-course night-before Christmas meal, complete with complimentary eggnog for $52 per person, plus beverage and gratuity. Guests can choose from starters such as stuffed breast of quail or clams and mussels before moving on to your choice of main course, including roasted beef tenderloin, lobster risotto, and pistachio-crusted lamb chops. Dessert choices include apple crostada, warm dark chocolate cake, and date and macadamia nut bread pudding.

Big Eyed Fish

Big Eyed Fish will be open Christmas Eve from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will present each table with a small gift.

Bistro Provence

This cozy French bistro will be open for a special three-course Christmas Eve dinner for $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity. With open seating from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., feast on dishes like foie gras terrine, lobster bisque, herb-crusted rack of lamb, or seared duck breast a l’orange. For dessert, choose between a fruit BĂ»che de Noel or chocolate marquise. A $30 deposit via PayPal confirms the reservation and will be forfeited for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. The regular menu will not be available Christmas Eve. 

Brennan's of Houston

Enjoy a NOLA-style three-course dinner with seatings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Start with dishes like wood-grilled smoked Matagorda oysters, lobster and cognac bisque, or Brennan's famous turtle soup before moving on to the big guns. Choose from main entrees including creole lobster bouillabaisse, wood-grilled filet mignon, or honey-roasted duck. Make sure to save room for Brennan's famous tableside Bananas Foster or a big slice of Mississippi mud pie.

Holley'swill be serving their regular menu on Christmas Eve. Enjoy their famous Benne Seed Parkerhouse Rolls with poblano “pimento” cheese, smoked drum mousse, and pickled veggies (when they're out, they're out). Last seating is at 9 p.m.

Quattro - Four Seasons Hotel Houston

From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., enjoy a special three-course feast featuring an extensive appetizer and dessert buffet and choice of five main courses. Underbelly’s Christmas Eve dinner is inspired by one of Chef Chris Shepherd's favorite holiday movies, A Christmas Story, as the resto’ will be bringing some of the iconic dishes and moments from the movie to life. The four courses feature Houston holiday favorites (think pimiento cheese and charcuterie and Javi’s tamales); “Chop Suey Palace” dishes like Peking duck and crab meat fried rice; "Meatloaf, Smeatloaf, Double Beatloaf" with the appropriate fixin’s; and cookie trees and Fuuuuuuudge for dessert.
