From free wings and waffle fries to a three-course pork chop feast on the house, here are the Houston eateries offering Veterans Day specials this weekend.
Saturday, November 11
Applebees
Veterans and active military members can choose from one of seven free entrees — including Double Crunch Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken and the American Standard burger — at participating locations. Guests must show proof of military service to receive the complimentary meal (beverages and gratuity are not included). This offer is dine-in only and not valid with other coupons or discounts.
Bombshells Restaurant & Bar, 12810 Gulf Freeway, 21005 I-45, 14191 Northwest Freeway
Bombshells Restaurant & Bar offers veterans and active service members a 20 percent discount every day; but on Veterans Day, the restaurant has expanded its activities, offering free meals for veterans of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces (must show military ID), plus 20 percent discounts on meals for their families and 20 percent discounts for active service members. The Veterans Day offer is available for dine-on only from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. In addition, Bombshells will set a "Missing Man Table" in memory of the fallen, missing or imprisoned military at each location; as well as a Veteran Photo Collection and a “Wall of Honor.”

To honor those who serve and have served in our nation’s military, the local farm-to-table chain will provide 20 percent off food purchased for our military veterans and active members on Veteran’s Day. Guests can show military ID to receive discount at all three locations.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar, 4444 Westheimer, 5510 Morningside, 142 Vintage Park
This fan favorite burger bar will be offering a free burger to all active and retired military members all day on Veterans Day. The offer includes any burger on the Hopdoddy menu, from the serrano-, habanero- and pepperjack-loaded El Diablo to the brie-, caramelized onion- and truffle aioli-smothered Primetime.
Main Event
From open to 5 p.m., all active-duty military and veterans are invited to visit Main Event locations to enjoy a complimentary entrée and then play free with a $10 FUNcard. Entrees include choices like grilled top sirloin with fries, a bacon cheddar burger and fries and teriyaki salmon.
McDonald’s
McDonald's restaurants in the Greater Houston Area will honor veterans and current military servicemen and servicewomen with a free Extra Value Meal this Veterans Day. Veterans and current members of the military can visiting participating restaurants and show their Military ID to redeem the offer.
Ooh La La Dessert Boutique, 23920 Westheimer, 20155 Park Row, 770 West Sam Houston Parkway North
This dessert boutique will thank military members by offering them a complimentary single-serving dessert of their choosing. The offer is open to any veteran or active member who visits one of the bakeries with military ID on Saturday.
Pluckers Wing Bar, 1400 Shepherd, 10407 Katy
Pluckers will be offering free meals for veterans and active duty military at all Texas locations on Veterans Day. With a valid military ID, guests can enjoy a complimentary entree, side and a non-alcoholic beverage (up to $15) when dining at the restaurant. The menu includes wings in sauces like buffalo, spicy bbq and ranch, ginger peach sriracha and “fire in the hole;” while other options include burgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches, signature salads and sides from waffles fries to mac and cheese.

The Japanese steak, seafood and sushi restaurant will offer a 25 percent discount to all veterans and active duty military on Veterans Day.
Sunday, November 12
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, all locations
As a token of appreciation for U.S. active and former military, all 13 Perry’s steakhouse locations will be offering a complimentary meal to veterans who dine with at least one paying guest on Sunday, November 12 from 4 to 9 p.m. Veterans can receive the three-course Sunday special — featuring a choice of salad, slow-roasted and caramelized pork chop and decadent dessert trio — by presenting their military I.D. Reservations are required to receive the special offer, which is only available to U.S. active and former military. Tax and gratuity are not included.
