Wingtoberfest Goes Down Tonight: Get There Early

The winning stein has been ordered. The wings have been prepped. The beer has been paired. All that's left to do now is for you to show up to Wingtoberfest tonight at Xuco Xicana, starting at 7 p.m.

As previously mentioned, Wingtoberfest is free, gloriously free! But because the free wings and beer are limited to our first 100 guests, we strongly encourage you to get there early.

Getting there early and being one of the first 100 guests has additional benefits, too: You get to be our judging panel, and select which wings are the most wonderful from our esteemed panel of bars and restaurants.

Competing for the Wingtoberfest stein tonight are: Xuco Xicana, Little Bitty Burger Barn, Barcadia and the Party Fowl truck. All four places will be serving up drastically different wings -- of which each guest will receive two -- and all four places will be teamed up with drastically different Saint Arnold beers.

We've even got the special Weedwhacker and brand-new Santo beers on hand for the evening. So if you like the sample pairing pours, you can buy your own pint right there at the bar. There will also be happy hour pricing all night on drinks and El XX's own wings, so no one should go home hungry.

Remember: Wingtoberfest kicks off at 7 p.m. on Xuco Xicana's upstairs patio, with the winner announced at 9 p.m. We'll see you there, wings at the ready.
