19th Annual Jugetes Para el Barrio

Working out of Shorty's Hydraulics shop (815 Post Street) on Christmas Day, members of the Latin Fantasy Lowrider Car Club and volunteers helped put together and give away close to 4,000 goodie bags and toys to hundreds of low income and underprivileged families in Houston as part of the 19th Annual Jugetes Para el Barrio (Toys for the Neighborhood). One of Shorty's sons, John Villarreal-Vega, along with Sergeant Ruben Sorola, lead this event which started at 10 a.m. and went until sunset. The caravan of lowriders was led by Harris County Constable Victor Trevio of Precinct 6. PHOTOS BY MARCO TORRES
