Boston Celtics vs Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets hosted the Boston Celtics at Toyota Center on Friday night, December 14, 2012. A heartfelt moment of silence was observed prior to tip-off in response to the tragic school shootings that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut earlier in the day. The Rockets took an early lead, but trailed 45-43 at halftime. James Harden and Greg Smith heated up in the second half, finishing the game with 21 and 20 points respectively leading to a 101-89 Rockets win. After the game, Boston head coach Doc Rivers along with players Courtney Lee and Kevin Garnett each expressed their condolences to Rockets head coach Kevin McHale in respect to the death of his daughter, Alexandra "Sasha" McHale.
