Dynamo Break Ground On New Stadium

More than 2,000 Dynamo fans joined the Dynamo players, Head Coach Dominic Kinnear, co-owner and boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya, Mayor Annise Parker, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee to break ground on the new Dynamo Stadium Saturday afternoon. The 22,000-seat stadium on the east side of downtown will be finished by the 2012 soccer season and will cost about $100 million to complete. The Dynamo will share the facility with Texas Southern University, who will play their home football games there. PHOTOS BY MARCO TORRES
